What about Malaysia? The Pulau Tiga which Survivor: Borneo was filmed eight years ago.

It's actually pretty logical, based on the sources.
SEG has already said that filming for "an Asian franchise" would be set in Palau "in the summer," which means THEIR summer (June, July, August). And based on the stocks/shares for GMA in the last quarter of the 2008 season (as related in their "Kapuso" magazine), GMA doesn't have enough funds to film in an "exotic" location outside the immediate area of the Pacific. The closest they could come to is either Pulau Tiga in Malaysia (which has already been converted into a tourist resort, so fat chance of SP2 happening there) or in Palau (a former Philippine territory and current US protectorate--and we all know how desperate for cash the US is right now). |

He's Fil-Aussie. Or pure Filipino with an Aussie accent. Or something, I dunno. He could even probably be one of those pod people from Planet Zurkon.

How much are flights to Palau nowadays, by the way?

The flights between Manila and Palau once a day operated by Continental Micronesia with a stopover in Guam. The flight takes 12-15 hours long with a long
hour stopover.
